William n Jiejie's wedding!!!

i'm finally free to blog again after the v xiong pharmaco test which was today...
8 chapters worth of drugs to memorise n according to serene...
there were approx 50 drug names!
omg.. din realise i actually studied tat much~ =P

Yup yup.. the wedding was last sunday, 21st October 2007~
i realised weddings r really quite tiring...
by the end of the night we were all pretty jaded... =P

Sunday morning:
woke up at 6.30am...
prepared the props for teasing the groom...*evil grinz*
get changed n anyhow makeup by myself.. (no one help me cos my jie jie was busy having her makeup by the makeup artist at e same time!)
e photographers had arrived by this time n were snapping away at jiejie...
relatives n my jiejie's jiemei tuan arrived...
hohoho... time to lock e door n await e groom's arrival~

the groom finally arrived...
n e jiemei tou (peggy) started e bargaining with him...
in total we played 4 games which include
1)william having to sing barbie girl with a mop on his head, a ladle as a mic, toilet brush as a comb
2)posing for e camera in stupid poses like spastic, sexy, 007, cute interchangably
3)writing a love poem for jiejie (which turned out like a pri sch level poem haha!)
4)wo cai wo cai wo cai cai cai (looking at pic, guessing e location, e significance, n finally acting it out..)
5)this one was not a game but a service provided.. haha.. he had to pay $50 bucks for 15min of fan power.. (cos william is v afraid of e heat.. =P)
he did well for all e above...
so he was allowed in after giving several ang paos.. hahaz...
but he still cant go into e room to get jiejie yet!
e final task was to do push ups n shout out e love poem outside e room until my jiejie is satisfied... muahahz...

finally he was allowed to go into e room to c my beautiful jiejie...
so they jing cha n everything to our relatives n i also had to jing cha to them!
i din know tat.. hahaz.. but gd also la.. cos i got ang pao! =P
all these while william (i shld say jiefu) was giving me e evil stare cos of e teasing of e groom.. i juz chose to ignore him =P

Sunday afternoon:
after eating chatting n stuff...
i accompanied jiejie to jiefu's place...
they also jing cha n everything...
den we eat again~~~ *full like dunnoe wat alrdy.. XP*

finally.. jiejie n jiefu headed for e hotel while i went bac home...
once i got home... it was time for me to pack stuff to bring to e restaurant!
plus i had to go styling for hair...
busy busy... rushing for time~
i q like e style e hairstylist did for me.. =)
looks youthful!! hahaz..

Sunday evening:
finally headed to e restaurant to find jiejie n jiefu...
again did my own makeup while jiejie n mama had theirs done by e makeup artist...
(i din get mine done by e makeup artist cos it cost 80 bucks per person! so muz cut cost... =P)
finally everyone was mei mei n ready for e solemnisation ceremony...
exchange of vows n rings n e impt kiss to seal e promise of a lifetime!! =)
yes.. both families witnessed e whole event!

next up was e wedding dinner itself...
i was responsible for reception tog w afew of jiejie's frens...
stressed-up la! so many ppl come at e same time n papa n mama juz keep telling me who who who come alrdy in a very unclear manner... fortunately... all was well at e end w everybody's help...
e pretty ang bao box n corsage i made also came to gd use! hahaz... =)

settled into my seat promptly at e family table...
i enjoyed e dinner much cos i was happily seated beside my 2 cousins (joel n jonathan)...
they provided much entertainment thruout...
joel was so blur it was realli funnie...
1st he tot some chinese herb was a piece of chicken meat n ate it... haha! his rxn was so funny when he realised it was herb la! haha...
2nd he said he chose to drink red wine cos he tot it was classy but he din realli noe how to appreciate it... haha! gd thing i learnt abit abit last time from wenjun.. =P so taught him e bit i know.. hahaz..
3rd he argued tat e dessert was not honey dew sago but rock melon dew sago cos they used rock melon but e problem was there was no such thing as a rock melon dew.. hahaz~
me n my ah ma also kept pushing wat we cant finish eating to e 2 nan rens.. haha.. in e end i tink we made them v full.. =P
e other funnie thing was during yam seng~ hahaz...
my jie fu found a group of runners to be his yam seng party...
so they realli realli yam seng for super long!! never ending...
cos they got huge lungs! hahaz...

tat's pretty much bout it...
e dinner ended n i took a ride bac to hall...
i knocked out on my bed straight after my shower...
cos realli super lei... =P
but i tink everyone was also v happy that night... =)
a great event! hahaz...
another dinner this coming wkend at malaysia..
hope everything goes smoothly as well! =)

last week i had my vaccinationsss
hep A n typhoid... for yep...
they also drew a big tube of my blood!! *pain*
severe muscle aches after tat... =P
yuan lai e vaccinations r so exp!!
last time in sch always juz go for jabs when they tell us to... dun even noe e price lo...

got ppl get chicken pox in sch...
so scary! wat if they accidentally spread to me?
i never got chicken pox before! many other ppl also never got before... YJ also scared.. hahaz..
n this guy he came bac to sch 1 wk after he kanna...
like tat isn't it q dangerous??
feeling so paranoid tat i begin to increase my vit C uptake in e hope of increasing my immunity!
hope my body is strong enuff to defend myself against it!

then this week is e worst...
i have on my agenda:
1) YEP carwashes (3days)
2) ICN choir performance
3) Patho test
4) Jiejie wedding stuff to get done
5) Jrm's bday

i tink i like dui bu qi jrm...
his card i haven even complete...
not to mention fixing a time w him to meet up...

on fri william said i was an irresponsible "mom" cos i wasn't going home...
since no one was going to be home on sunday...
he said no one would feed e ham hams if i din go home...
but i still din go home.. cos in e end he said he can give them extra food on sunday morning since they would still be home on sunday morn n be bac on mon morn...
he just wanted to make me feel guilty for e fun of it...

it's been 2 wks since i last blogged...
so much to write...
but yet i cant rem le...

some of e event tat happened include:

huilin's 21st bday
we had loads of fun playing uno!!
a big grp of nus students playing uno until v high like tat.. hahaz..
w ppl like junice playing.. how to not get high? hahaz..
plus e food is yummilicious!
n there were pretty n delicious cupcakes!!
so yummy tat i din even take a photo of it before i finished it.. =P

outing w e gals...
finalli went to kushinbo w cch n hx...
hahaz... tink we eat buffet bo hua...
v fast jiu full alrdy.. n we had to hide e unfinished food somewhere..
but anywayz.. we had fun eating... =P
before tat i went shopping w cch..
bot skirt, watch n tee! so man zu!
she also bot many things! shoes, shorts, top!
a hapi hapi day!

n den i fell sick~~
sat was sore throat...
but i still had curry! yi du gong du! hahaz..
no la.. cos it was jiejie's "guo da li"
n she ordered catering den got nice curry.. so i eat lo...

sunday also din rest much...
cos muz bring papa n mama to meet jiejie at her bridal shop for fitting for my papa n myself...
so bo bian.. actualli i din felt v sick.. so still oki lo...=)
after e fitting i went w sis to novena to have her "jiemei" meeting...
to discuss how to tease n disturb william on e wedding day...

hehehez... i tink we will be earning q alot frm him...

finalli went home to c doc...it was den i realised i had so many diseases!
he even gave me 2 day mc lo...

n it's true... i realli felt v tired on mon n tues...
cant even study much...
luckily wed was much betta le...
so could study for thurs n fri de test...
even thou fri test(today) is gone case de liaoz...

yesterday was frantically selling e yep tee...
cos i forgot all bout e deadline.. =P
luckily all my frens r shan xin ren shi!

st john island!!

Slpt realli late e previous nite cos of project meeting...

slpt at 3+am?

n had to wake up at 7am...

so i onli slpt for 4hrs.. yawn yawn...

in the end i mis-calculated the timing n reached 40 min earlier...

so blur rite.. i could have gotten 40 more min of slp... =S

so to wei lao myself... i had this delicious breakfast at city hall!

kaya toast w milo ping!! yummy!!

Den it was time to make our way to the destination...

15 bucks to n fro~ our transportation is by sea!!!

like some time haven sit on ferry alrdy...

so exciting... all my slpiness vanished once i boarded the boat.. (got aircon de lo) hahaz..

i like so shan gui... =P dunnoe y all e yr ones fell aslp one e boat.. so sianz meh.. y i find it so exciting.. hahaz.. dai gou?

On the way to St john island..

we actually stopped by kusu island 1st...

there was a 30min break before they would set off to st john...
so we alighted and walked ard the tiny kusu island...
took some photos and made a wish at the wishing well!!
we also bai bai abit at the temple... =)
my 1st time to kusu island also!!
got many small wu gui there lo...

finally... we reached st john island...
*din manage to take a pic of e sign cos we carrying alot of stuff*
there was only 1 bungalow on e island n it was e one we were staying at..
it was actualli not bad...
except for e scary barbed wires surrounding the whole area...
felt like we r prisoners like tat... hahaz...
we took a walk ard e island...
n e scenery was not bad~

nobody de beach n sampan... reminded me of someone who said he wan to sail off away in a sampan... hahaz.. so romantic ar~ =P

den i found out it wasn't a sampan...
cos it had a motor.. hahaz..
we can actualli c singapore mainland from e beach! nice wor...

after e walk under e hot hot sun...
we went bac to our comfy aircon bungalow...
rested and played a funny game.. forgot e title le.. =P
but it was funnie.. n i tink i have q bad communication skills.. hahaz..

at nite me n huilin prepared pasta for everyone!
poor us were doing the mosquito dance as we cooked cos there were loads of mosquitoes!! my legs were terribly bitten.. n bx n jk each took a video n photo of my leg respectively... muahhaz...

ngrateful to e guys who helped us light up mosquito coils to drive away all e mosquitoes finally.. n also kill all sorts of bugs tat were flying in... n to scare away the cats tat were attempting to come into e kitchen.. hahaz.. they like so busy like tat...
finally dinner was all served n e few of us sat down at e kitchen n had a gd meal w coke!! woohoo!

after dinner was more games...
but e games r more like those xin li ce yan..
n those sharing types... =)

finalli it was rest time!! =)
we watched wo cai on tv...
some went to e beach.. but came bac shortly cos got too many cockroaches!! hahaz..
den was supper!! cooked by e guys who had to chase away e roaches in e kitchen too..
den it was highlight of e nite: huilin's bday "surprise"
not realli surprise cos she alrdy saw e cake n stuff... hahaz..
but i tot it was v nice of them to have tot of it! =)

my no. for the 10km shape run 2007...
=) today was e shape run...
n i completed it!!! haahahahaz...
this is my 2nd 10km run...
n i love the runner singlet tat they gave!
so comfy n gd quality n gd looking!!!

this time i improved my timing by 10min!!
so proud of myself.. hahaz..

this time it was still a leg breaking run...
my hips feel dislocated from my legs.. =S

i tink i did badly for tat..

to "celebrate" the end of our 1st test,

had a super tough time toking to my mama...

cos initially they were like super nice to me n yj...
but after we started to do our job...

it was q boring being a validator...
all e time we juz spend waiting n waiting... =S
we finally got transported to padang after their float left..
but it was more waiting after tat...
i tink some of e validators also v bored...
so got 1 guy validator came n tok to us abit here n there...
from sde de.. hahaz.. q crappy but frenly..

den we walked ard e area to sneak peeks at other ppl's floats...
esp other hall floats... =)
saw e impressive sheares float.. realli v colourful~
but ours was not bad also k...
got chance to fight wor... cos it juz so happen tat e others r not as strong this yr... =)

finalli when our shift was over...
i joined KE n yj joined KR...
we juz hang ard e area.. look somemore at ppl's float.. yan jiu abit here n there...
basically checking out e competition.. hahaz..

i was realli v tired.. cos whole nite never slp...
plus e sun was shining so brightly... XP
also plus having to walk a long long long distance juz to get to restrooms n to get lunch... realli sianz.. =P

finalli we could enter n watch e performance~
but sadly we were seated at e other side away from e hall ppl.. =(
so when KE came out.. we can onli scream from our side w e strength of 3 voiceboxes...

actualli i was v disappointed...
i couldn't hear our ppl scream..
i dun c our flag...
i dun c them even grabbing a space in e front rows to support our float...
there wasn't any qi shi at all...
super sad...
e mechanisms din screw up...
e dance actualli improved much more...
but we lost in a major lack of qi shi...
actualli got alot of other stuff.. but dunwan to say here lo...

when it was time for award presentation...
we were super jing zhang...
when results were announced...
e feelings were a mixture of disappointment n anger...
i dun understand how ****** can win tat...

6 weeks r finally over…
Today is my last day…
Shi kai xin de lo!!

Thinking bac…
I was realli q apprehensive bout going to work initially..
Worried bout how my work place would be like…
Will there be gd ppl??
Will I be able to adapt??
Etc etc… loads of unknowns…

But fortunately…
I was attached to a gd shifu…
I was attached to a great store w interesting characters…
I enjoyed e gd company of serene…
Actualli nothing much to complain bout except for maybe e low pay n e sianness when there was nothing to do n e ever looping songs from e same old CD… n of cos e stress from all e mini assignments our shifu gave…
Tat sounds like a lot of complaints alrdy.. hahaz.. =P

Along e way…
Loads of funny n unforgettable n sometimes weird incidents have happened…
Recalling them now brings a fond memory..
Hahaz… I sound like I’m toking bout something tat happened ages ago…
But realli.. I mean I wont miss e work there…
But I will miss e experience n e things tat I’ve been thru there… =)

1st day of work… =S
Was not really considered as work…
Cos e whole day was training…
Went to e ulu place in e morning for a presentation…
Den in e afternoon had to rush to tampines store for further training…
Walk here walk there in our covered toe shoes…
Pain like dunnoe wat…
Blisters all over~ =(
Gd thing got plasters n stocking~ =)
We were allowed to go bac quite early at ard 5pm~
Short day but it was unexpectedly tiring~

1st day of work at e store~

Had an orientation day…
*hapi hapi!* cos she dun work nite shifts n alternate sat n all sun!!
Tat means I also dun need to work on sun n alternate sats n at nite!!

Haven update for sometime… =)
Wanted to do it on tue… but a turn of events prevented me from doing so…

Sat – SY bday party!
She had a pink theme n we had to buy her a lollipop as a tix to enter…
E party was at her hse…her hse is nicely deco-ed wor…
She was all dressed up! All pretty n sweet n all… =) mei nv!!
JC also wear until v nice n v pink! Hahaz… he looked juz like e male host for e party lo…
Her cake was a bright pink key w loads of cream on it…
A really v pinkish party~
Wat surprised me was tat jc’s mama n didi also went…
Wat was even more surprising was tat I tink she recognize me?? (I was pri sch classmates w jc mar~)
Cos she kept looking at me when I walked past her.. hahaz.. hopefully is cos she still rems me n not cos I look like a weirdo… =P
We juz nua-ed in her room (which looked v meng huan w all e extra balloons covering e floor) e whole time cos got aircon..hee..
went home at ard 1030pm n met Benjamin n weijian on e train… so made some small talk w them bout sch stuff~

Sun – Fantastic 4 movie
Watch it @ amk hub’s new theatre…
E chairs were oki la.. but I still find causeway’s theatre more comfy…
E movie was short n sweet…
Nicer than part 1…
A lot of action n also v comical…
Enjoyed it q abit… =)
Went home after e movie n I finalli had my pao pao cha~

Mon – Dumpling making
Went to grandma’s place to learn dumpling making w sis…
Hahaz… actually she alrdy finished preparing all the ingredients..
We juz need to learn how to bao… hahaz…
Actually it wasn’t v hard to bao…
But it was diff to bao until it is mei mei…
Of cos mine were not mei… n they were mini size cos I tink I put too few rice.. hahaz…
After all e bao-ing n cooking…me n sis carried all our distorted looking ba zhangs home to eat… hahaz… tat’s all~
N I had pao pao cha again!! =P

Tue – topsy turvy day
Morn met up w sh n wl to go marina kbox…
E lunch wasn’t nice at all lo.. =P dun like…
Den we went shopping ard marina sq…
Bot nothing but a belt…
Tried to look for some working clothes… but there wasn’t much… either too ex or e design too weird… hahaz…
Den e 2 of them left…
N I was to wander ard on my own until it was time to meet wj for dinner which was like 3hr later…
So I went over to dhobby ghaut to shop…
N there I spent more $$..
Bot a white top from m)phosis…not appropriate for work de.. casual wear onli… haha…
This series of clothes tat they got now got a lot tat I like! But aiz.. no $$.. so cant buy.. hahaz..
Finished my walk thru PS n finally I made my way to clark quay to wait for wj…
Unfortunately I was still early by bout 15 min…
So bo bian I took out my book n started reading…
Den suddenly this guy appeared out of no where standing beside me n started to talk to me… he looked like those office workers… ard late twenties or early thirties??
asked me if I was waiting for ppl… if I was reading a novel… *diaoz -_-* introduced himself… asked me if I was studying.. wat I was studying… den started toking bout his own frens… *diaoz^2* den he asked me to take down his no. n made me call him bac…

So being a stupid ah dai… I did wat I was told…
Actually when he tok to me I look away.. pretend super not interested… give 1 word ans… Sms wj to ask him to faster… (realized I shld have juz called him instead.. hahaz) but he juz keep toking… =S
N gd thing he finally walk away when his fren came… *relieved*
Den wj came n we had dinner at liang court…

So I got my sis to email him samples of e scripts cos my sis handled some MC jobs before… =) hope they were of help!!

这时心里觉得好满足, 快乐。。
原来真的是可以很简单。。
知足常乐。。
要常常把这句话放在心里！！

前几天的心情有一点怪怪。。
想着一些奇怪的东西。。
例如：
Wat is my purpose/goal in life?
At my age.. wat have I achieved?
Wat am I good at?
Am I going to be juz surviving in this world my whole life rather than living it?
These r juz depressing qns tat I dun tink I can ever ans…

But on the other hand…
Do I really need to achieve anything?
Wat counts as surviving n wat counts as living? Who defines it?
Do all these really matter?
Or is it tat life is all about having a good time? (cos life is too short to worry so much? Haha…)

it's a nice feeling to be able to meet up w gd frens n juz sit ard chit chatting~

followed by drinking our all time fav mos ice milk tea!!
*actualli we wanted to go gelare to have a drink n tok tok... but we realised we dun have enuff $$.. so we had to act like we decide to go elsewhere not becos of financial issues... muahahaz.. abit diu lianz.. cos we even checked our wallets to c how much cash we have before leaving e place.. so obvious is cos we dun have $$... hahaz..*

anyway.. we decided mos was a more affordable place n e atmosphere was gd too!!
we chose a zi bi table den started toking...

we went for lunch at a young n happening-looking cafe called miss clarity... e food was oki la.. but e decor of e cafe was q cute~ =)

nxt up we went bottle tree to have a look look... n so coincidentally tat we saw jingwen who was having her bday party there!! super qiao... n she invited us on e spot to go for her party.. but v paiseh leh.. so we declined.. anyway.. pj's programmes were still not over yet!

n i dun realli have many weeks left till work.. (to be exact.. onli 2 more wks..) it's too late...

Pirates 3

Finalli I went to watch e long awaited pirates 3… e theatre was almost full… q surprising considering tat it has been up for q sometime alrdy… I tot everyone who wanted to watch e show would have watched it by now…
Anyway…
Johnny depp is as usual a very gd actor n was v charming as e notorious jack sparrow…
=) I’m q a fan of jack sparrow…hahaz..
His mannerism is one of its kind…
he’s so wu li tou…always doing such unexpected things tat makes me laugh~ q a smart guy…love him~ hahaz…

dun wan to give spoilers for those who still haven watch n r intending to do so.. so I shall give v general comments~ hahaz…
in this sequel…
e whole plot unfolds to give e more complete picture of wat’s really going on…
thou some parts I cant q understand due to me forgetting wat happened in part 2…
(really shld have watched part 2 again before watching 3.. but I cant find part 2 anywhere… =( shall attempt to watch 3 again if I get a chance to watch 2 beforehand…)
a lot of fighting scenes…e ships getting blown up n stuff…
certain parts r q funnie…
certain parts r abit “duh~”… (dun understand e thing bout crabs…)
e show is ard 3hrs long…
n overall I enjoyed it~ made me laugh… =)

however…
I tot tat 2 was more entertaining…
more funnie parts~ I rem I was laughing throughout e whole movie…=)

in conclusion…
if u’ve watched 2…
u need to watch 3…
tat’s wat I tink… to give e story an ending at least… =)

while my sis had her gourmet pie which was equally delicious~

but it was q ex... so we had a hard time choosing n tinking...
n in e end we onli bot 1 roll of ribbon cos we weren't sure of wat we could do w e materials... hahaz..
but it wasn't a wasted trip...
at least now we noe wat e various shops had to offer...

at nite was libing's bday party... not alot of 4/6 peeps... ard 10+ came? yup.. so many ppl din come.. so my plan sort of failed.. hahaz.. =P
