Happy Leap Day!!

There is a tradition that women may make a proposal of marriage to men only in leap years, further restricted in some cases to only February 29. Another component of this tradition was that if the man rejects the proposal, he should soften the blow by providing a kiss, one pound currency, and a pair of gloves (some later sources say a silk gown).

St. Bridget's Complaint
It is believed this tradition was started in 5th century Ireland when St. Bridget complained to St. Patrick about women having to wait for so long for a man to propose. According to legend, St. Patrick said the yearning females could propose on this one day in February during the leap year.

This was what i learnt from watching the movie leap years today.
Saw the sneak at a ulu movie theatre today w gor after mugging a full day at the lib... =)
There were only 6 ppl in total watching the show..
haha.. so i can juz qiao jiao and everything n no one cares.. =P

anywayz.. abt the movie.. i tink it's sort of like a typical romance movie...
but i guess i like e sequencing of the show...
e way they added quotes in betwn..
rather tot provoking...
for eg. coincidences are god's way of remaining annoymous ~ Albert Einstein
n the show is not draggy... althou rather predictable... =P
n ya.. all e gals in e show were mei nvs..
haha... gor kept saying e daughter v pretty over n over again...
den apologised to me n go on to say: "ta zhen de hen piao liang!"
*faintz* haha.. tink he cannot help it.. haha... =P

so tml all e gals can actually ask guys out...
n e guys can't refuse!
unless they pay a fine.. haha..
i tink it's a cute tradition... =)
but sadly i dun tink any SG guys will noe abt this tradition unless they go watch the movie..
n by the time they watch e movie.. it'll be too late to ask alrdy...
have to wait for another 4 yrs... haha...
so sad... haha.. =P
anywayz... i got no guys to ask out~ even sadder... muahaha!

but as said in e show..
we shldn't get tog w anyone juz becos we're afraid of being alone...
we have to be brave!!
