2 faces to a coin.

Life is not always a bed of roses. Sounds cliche? But it's so so so true. Life has its ups and downs. The difference for different people is that some have more ups than others while the rest have more downs. Maybe life really is unfair. But sometimes I think it is how you look at it. For me, I think learning to be contented with what you have is the best way to gain happiness.

The reason I'm saying all this is that so many things have happened recently (both happy and unhappy):

-On my bday, I had a great time. LT gave me a sweet small cake at 00.00hr (YUMZ!), jrm gave me a bottle of mineral water at ard 01.00hr as a replacement for the eclair tat he wanted to get as a cake but failed to get, went out with LT to science centre in e morning till late, received loads of bday wishes from friends around me either by sms or email or facebook. Felt really touched that these ppl remembered! =) Thank u my dear frens! Thank u my dear LT!

-The nxt day I received news from frens that a fren's brother had passed away yesterday. I didn't know how to react to this piece of news. Cos this fren actually did sms a bday wish to me despite wat happened in his family. I can only send my condolences and hope that this fren is ok. (As u can see, I am really bad with words, esp at consoling others.)

-Very soon it was my grad trip to Welcome to Taiwan! A super fun-filled trip that was disasterous and exciting at e same time. I believe i will remember it for life! =) Will be blogging about it in detail in e following entry w loads of photos! Am rather sad that adez couldn't join us thou... =S Nvm, there's always next time! =)

-Just got home from dinner w LT and his family. Freaking unlucky or wat, LT lost his wallet. No idea how or where it disappeared to, but it just did. "Sway" with a capital 'S'. Cancelled all his cards, made a police report. Hope some kind soul with a heart of gold finds it and returns it to the police station and some nice police officer will call him soon to pick up his wallet with everything still intact and nothing lost. (Crosses my fingers for luck!) What a sian nite~

Yupz... so you see, these really make me wonder and think through about what I have and what's around me. Sometimes you get super sway, sometimes you get lucky. But most of the time, people remember the sway parts better. So they tend to think that they are sway people. Some of the rarer species of humans may appear to be happy-go-lucky, but deep inside, they may have had many bad experiences before but just chose to look at things in a different perspective, take things in their stride.

So like what adez love to say: "Life is short, but it is also long."

I'm now officially not a resident of KE hall after 4 yrs~
Not going to get tat tiny bit of seaview from my room window again..

never met e couple before this but they were nice ppl~ haha
engaged after 9 years~ long long time ya~

-Went for KTV w the gang for bert's bday!
sing eat sing eat.. excellent pigging out session...

-Went for discussion @ HL's hse for our long awaited taiwan trip!
we are going to watch wo cai! woohoo~!

-Bot pressies for ade's bday w pharm gals
ended up buying shoes for myself~

-Went for LT's mom's day cum bday dinner w his family (his mom's bday is 18 may!)

I used to love ice cold lemon tea~

Then it was milooooo~~
And milooo dinosaur~!!
Delicious chocolatey taste sweet like nobody's business~

who can forget the bubble tea craze!
used to have a few cups every week...
mango snow blend la.. green apple snow blend...zhen zhu nai cha...
anything with pearls man~!

There was also the time of a&w root beer float~
smooth creamy vanilla ice-cream paired with root beer~
the ultimate killer combi! *slurps*

Of course there was ultimate from cbtl!
best ice blend kopi + chocolate that i ever drank! =)=)=)
ten starssss! (depending on the diff outlets la.. some better than others.. i like it more bitter)

I started to love coke...
(even thou i used to dislike gassssy drinks)
refreshing cooool taste~ *ahhhh~*

discouraged by many to not drink sooo much coke...
i started to turn to e healthier choice.. green tea~
cold or hot~ both equally good for health and taste.. =)

nowadays it's q chap-pa-lang~
tea, kopi, coke, miloooo~ all my loves~!!

*shucks~ i juz realised it's anything w caffeine...

The Last day of School

the last day of school was on 17 Apr...
our class ended our sch life with a pharmily 4.3km run to raise funds for future needy pharm students!! =)
after our last 6pm class, we did a mass warm up at S4 and many ppl were watching us~
muahaha.. so i dun tink it's a common sight in sch~ =)
me n adez walked almost the way for the run cos we were lazy to run even thou the checkpt ppl kept asking us to jiayou~ hahah.. =P

Tots abt the last day of sch...
Am going to miss sitting in e freezing LTs, frantically copying away as the lecturer rambles on and on~
Am going to miss struggling not to doze off in class in boring lectures~
Am going to miss scribbling rubbishes and nonsensical drawings on each other's notes to keep ourselves occupied~
Am going to miss the bitching abt the various lecturers and etc~
Am going to miss slacking ard in betwn classes~


what's left now is just mugging for exams...
even thou it's just 3 papers...
but y do i feel like there's still alot to study for~

then.. we have to study for e test this coming wed...
on top of tat.. there is still e FYP report to rush cos e dateline is this coming friday...
n the journal presentation which is entirely untouched by my grp is due this thursday...
gd thing NP test is postponed to nxt tue...
can someone tell me why e department juz decides to squeeze us all dry in these few weeks instead of attempting to even spread out e whole schedule a teeny wheeny bit more?

First of all...

Happy bday to hans~!
we went to sushi tei to eat that day to celebrate... hee.. =)
simple eating n gossiping session lo~
but totally enjoyable except for e fact that i keep closing my eyes when they take photo n looked totally spastic.. =X
we finally saw his special someone (cos they were going to spend e 1st sec of his bday tog~ so sweet rite~ hee) n was rather surprised...
haha.. cos hans totally gave us a different description~ =P

and then it was happy vday!!
i spent vday completing a 2000 pc jigsaw puzzle that is now lying on my floor in hall.. haha..
we did e puzzle until 3.30am.. zzzZZZ..
den in e afternoon we went for benjamin buttons...
a 3hr show... but u wont find it draggy~ juz that there isn't really a "high" point in e story..
but i liked e storyline.. rather sad.. but really q meaningful...
i can't imagine what it would be like to start life backwards for me.. it was ok for brad pitt cos he was damn rich n didn't have to really work for a living... haha..
den we went wandering.. dunnoe where to go...

yesterday was a wedding dinner...
LT's cousin was getting married.. so his parents invited me n i went..

but e service was so-so lo.. cos they never re-fill my glass of coke!!

Good start to 2009?

Started off 2009 with my best pals from 4-6!! (PJ was absent though..)

Nua-ed at a place in Holland V called mykii~

a nice place to chill but the price is abit steep for poor student like me..
but the munchies oreos drink was yummy! haha...

Mango smoothie n the dessert was good too! Can really taste the chocolate n the mangoness.. =P *slurps*

so we nua-ed n slacked n discussed how bert fan tao hua... haha..

And when the clock struck 00.00,

we all pulled the partypoppers supplied by the restaurant n screamed *happy new year!!* to everyone!

we were feeling abit hungry...

when the clock struck twelve on christmas eve, I was at sentosa chalet with them smoking ourselves with e sparklers:

they played games and drink all the way while I anti-socially tried to slp but failed (cos have appt w sh they all e following day, therefore i have have have to get some rest!!!)...

so instead i went out for a walk w LT who then abandoned his frens cos of me.. *guilty*
after getting bitten by all e mozzies... we decided to join the non-drinking guys downstairs.. n played an intellectual game~ can't rem the name of e game but i wasn't really tinking much during e game cos i really can't activate my brain... =P haha.. but it was an interesting game.. =) n i din not always aim to be magician~ haha..
subsequently eveyone went home or just fell aslp in e chalet room upstairs n we were the last few standing... amazingly i was among the few.. haha...

so the zombie me showered went down to amk to meet the gang for grocery shopping to cook our christmas lunch!! n i was the earliest... *diao*

somebody din even come to grocery shop lo~~ *tsk tsk* eat mac breakfast somemore n din offer to buy for us... *shakes head* =P hee..

cooking was at pj's place cos her parents were overseas n tat makes it more convenient for us to mess up the place.. haha...

our menu:

-roast chicken (to replace turkey)

-sushi (that we forgot to eat)

-pasta (both cream n tomato base)

-wedges

-bacon

-cheese sausage

-watermelon juice with loads of watermelon flesh n seed inside cos we made it ourselves..)

full like dunnoe wat.. haha.. but it was yummy de!!

den we nua-ed n watch TV... haha.. cos we can't tink of wat to do n 3.5 out of 5 were v tired~~

n tat was christmas... n we started to plan for new year's eve.. haha... we would go watch fireworks from pj's office n da bao food to eat! muahaha.. tat's e plan for now.. =)

Quite afew things have been happening lately, and I wouldn't say that they are happy stuff.
dun really wanna list everything down here.. cos i'll rem it more when i write down n i dun really wanna rem them...

I don't really know what to make of these events, but I guess life is like that.

I remember someone told me before:
It's through the tears of downs that you can appreciate the joy of ups.

Just try to take things as positively as possible ba...
Think of what's really important and focus on the learning points...
Learn how to handle similar situations, learn how to improve and be better, learn where's your weakness, and also learn where's your strength. Find a newer, better direction for yourself.
Then most importantly, forget all about the unhappiness!

it's going to be christmas!
i find that i'm loving christmas more and more.
i used to find that my fav festival was cny, cos u get ang paos(cha-ching $$), u get longer holidays, u get loads of cny goodies to eat~ etc.
but as i was watching the re-runs of love actually on tv yesterday, i tot christmas is really quite meaningful and fun even for ppl without religion like me.. =)
(i know christmas is really to celebrate the birth of Christ de... not just giving presents and eating log cakes.. hee..)
and i love all the christmas movies n songs~ haha.. been irritating my sis w all e songs recently.. =P
i haven prepare presents!! omg..
and the radio just said 10 more days to christmas! *whines: no time~~*
but i kind of enjoy the christmas rush.. haha.. *weird me*

~all i wan for christmas is my 2 front teeth, my 2 front teeth, my 2 front teeth~

i rem last time i used to get free coke from ppl who bot coke from e vending machine downstairs...

becos the machine generously gave out 2 cans of coke at one time..
probably due to some faulty mechanism...
and 1 extra can would be passed to me cos they know i love coke..

e machine never gave 2 cans of drinks to me..
